A one-of-a-kind Restaurant

Chef Lee’s journey to the kitchen is as unique and flavorful as the dishes he creates. Originally from Malaysia, Chef Lee came to the United States 40 years ago in search of a degree in civil engineering. But his true passion lay not in blueprints, but in the rich aromas and bold flavors of Asian cuisine. After spending time in Taiwan, he fell in love with the vibrant food culture there and was inspired to share it with the States. That dream led him to open his first restaurant 26 years ago, where he began blending his heritage, experiences, and love of cooking into dishes that celebrate both tradition and innovation. Today, Chef Lee continues to bring that same dedication and passion to every plate he serves here at Bang Bang Cafe.
